Answer:

She can do better in math.

Step-by-step explanation:

Any point (x) from a normal distribution can be converted to the standard normal distribution (z) with the formula z=

\frac{x-mean}{Standard deviation}

for french  x = 81 and mean 72  ,standard deviation = 9

for french the value of Z  = \frac{(x-mean)}{Standard deviation}

                                         = \frac{81-72}{9}

                                           =  ±1

For math x =86 and mean=68 ,standard deviation = 12

for math the value of z \frac{68-86}{12} =±1.5

Since value of Z is more in subject math as compare  to  that of French

so she did better in Mathematics

A certain television is advertised as a 55-inch TV (the diagonal length). If the width of the TV is 42 inches, how many inches t
Mumz [18]

Answer:

69.20in

Step-by-step explanation:

Given data

diagonal of the TV d= 55in

Widht of the TV w=  42 in

Hight h= ???

Applying the Pythagoras theorem

d^2= w^2+ h^2

substitute

55^2= 42^2+ h^2

3025= 1764+ h^2

3025+1764= h^2

4789= h^2

h=√4789

h= 69.20

Hence the Heigth is 69.20in

You're given two side lengths of 3 centimeters and 5 centimeters. Which measurement can you use for the length of the third side
igomit [66]

Answer: To find the third side of a triangle (there are two answers you could get), you need to use the Pythagorean formula: a^2+b^2=c^2.  First answer, 3^2+5^2=c^2.  Solve for c.  c=5.83.  The second answer, 3^2+b^2=5^2.  Solve for b.  b=4.

The area of the sector formed by the 110 degree central angle is 40 units squared what is the radius
olga2289 [7]
We know that
area of the circle=pi*r²

if 360° (full circle) has an area of-------------> pi*r²
110°------------------------------> 40 units²
pi*r²=40*360/110--------> pi*r²=130.91------> r²=130.91/pi-----> r²=41.69
r=6.46 units

the answer is
the radius is 6.46 units
