using an idea web list the geographical features of the west that contributed to the mining boom and cattle boom in the mid-1800
sertanlavr [38]

Geographical features play an important role in the development of any kind of business. We see business and trade centers develop since ancient times  because of their geographical locations. Similarly geographical features of the West contributed to the mining and cattle bloom in mid 1800s.

The large Great Plains in the west easily provide grass to the cattle which led to cattle bloom. While as rich and resourceful hills and mountains  play an important role in mining bloom in the west. These hills and mountains were rich in precious metals like gold and silver and upon their discovery, West began to be flooded by people and led more discoveries of the metals. The rail connectivity of the west with east made it easy to transport meat and metals which also contributed to the mining and cattle bloom.

What was the cost-plus system
goldfiish [28.3K]

Answer:

cost-plus system where a contractor is paid for all of its allowed expenses

Explanation:

cost-plus contract, also termed a cost plus contract, is a contract where a contractor is paid for all of its allowed expenses, plus additional payment to allow for a profit.

In a cost-plus contract, a party agrees to reimburse a contractor for expenses plus a specific amount of profit, usually stated as a percentage of the contract's full price. Cost-plus contracts are primarily used to allow the buyer to assume the risk of the success of the contract from the contractor.

Suppose that a company sells a product for $1, and that $1 includes all the costs that go into making and marketing the product. The company may then add a percentage on top of that $1 as the "plus" part of cost-plus pricing. That portion of the price is the company's profit.
