oral college had to revote. There were only two candidates running for President of the United States. Correct answer:  Because no one met the constitutional requirement for winning, the election was decided in the House of Representatives.

Historical context:

In the presidential election of 1824, Andrew Jackson won the most popular votes (43%) and won the most electoral votes also.  But since no one had attained a majority of electoral votes, the decision was given to the US House of Representatives, which named John Quincy Adams as president.  Jackson accused Adams and Speaker of the House Henry Clay of what he called "a corrupt bargain."

Four years later, when Jackson ran for president again in 1828, he pulled no punches.  The 1828 presidential campaign (which was won by Jackson) was  nasty, dirty affair in which all sorts of personal "mudslinging" attacks were publicized between the candidates.  That set a precedent for the sort of negative politics we've been seeing ever since.

Answer: I believe the Answer is B-- The place where most people in ancient china lived.

Explanation:

Ancient Chinese civilization began along the Huang He river, or "yellow river". I don't know how they were with farming, but because that's where their civilization began, I'd imagine that that's where most people in ancient China lived.

Who were the titans and what role did they play in the cosmology of ancient greece?
sweet [91]

Hesiod claimed, the word Titan means "Strainer", because they strained and performed some presumptuous, fearful deed and the vengeance would come after it. Where the Olympians lived in Olympus, the home of the Titans was Othrys, their stronghold.

The exact number of the Titans varied from author to author, and they often included some of the children of the Titans. So there are at least two generations of Titans can be considered.

For a generation, the Titans shared the world and created mankind, with Cronus as their leader. Although a number of the male Titans were imprisoned in Tartarus, when they chose to fight a war against the younger gods, known as the Olympians.

According to the Orphic myth, Zeus destroyed the Titans with his thunderbolts, because the Titans had murdered and devoured his son Zagreus (Dionysus). From the smouldering ashes, mankind were created.
