Answer:

The correct answers are first in sentence 9 and old in sentence 11.

Explanation:

Redundant expressions are those expressions that are unnecessary within a sentence because they either do not add any new meaning or they just repeat what was already stated.

In sentence 9, you don't have to say first introduction because the word introduction on its own means that something is happening for the first time.

In sentence 11, you don't have to say old antiques because the word antiques already means something old, so there is no need to say it twice.

Svetradugi [14.3K]

What strategy lies behind the use of this quotation? B. Using a quotation by this respected president would link Jordan's words to the much revered President Lincoln's words in the minds of the listeners, giving her credibility. The quotation gives her speech validity.

(...) Well I am going to close my speech by quoting a Republican President and I ask you that as you listen to these words of Abraham Lincoln, relate them to the concept of a national community in which every last one of us participates:

"As I would not be a slave, so I would not be a master." This -- This -- "This expresses my idea of Democracy. Whatever differs from this, to the extent of the difference, is no Democracy."

Barbara Jordan was a politician (feminist) and leader of the black civil rights movement in the United States.

Can you help me please image is here. It has to be about Harry Potter and the philosopher stone movie.
vodomira [7]

Answer:

The setting is in a wizarding school named Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The time is in the 1990s. It is a beautiful huge castle type school, with a radiant river of water flowing by its side. With a fantastic view from the astronomy tower, enchanted stairs, portraits and ceiling, it is an absolutely magical and beautiful place to be. This setting is absolutely important to the story as it brings life to the fantasy genre and holds many important secrets which is useful to the characters and plot. Personally this couldn't have taken place in any other setting, as it wouldn't have given readers the same feeling.

WRITE A SPEACH ON CHILD RIGHTS
mel-nik [20]

Answer:

Thank you so much for the invitation to speak today. My name is XXX and I’m an XXXX. My research is on child poverty, social exclusion, and children’s participation. So today I'm gonna talk about child rights.

Children’s rights is a topic which is very much in the limelight of the world today. Parents are more concerned about the development of their child rather than the rights of the child. One does not have to be a parent to understand the importance of children rights. Children are the future of the world. They are the ones who will be able to contribute to the development of the country. They have a right to education, health and proper nutrition. Therefore, the rights of every child should be protected.

Child labour is a serious issue in every country. The painful reality that children have to work in order to contribute to the family income is an issue that has been debated about many times and is still in courts every day. Child rights are a subject of debate which engages many people, especially in developed countries. Despite this, the concept is one that needs to be taken seriously, as it has immense implications for children.

Hope it helps:)
