Answer:

The quote by Patrick Henry states that he will be willing to die for his country. He wants freedom, not "torture." Henry wants the British out of the U.S because all they are doing is hurting the colonists. The colonists were fighting for freedom. Patrick Henry believed in this and sought to achieve this. Thanks to this quote and the bravery of our colonists, we are a free country.

Hopefully, this helped!

uysha [10]

Answer:

D

Explanation:

From this excerpt I would pick the last one. It seems he gets along with everyone well. The officers ask him to drink with them and they give him information which he thinks should be given to the drivers. He has cigarettes to pass around and give everyone

It might be C, but I very much doubt it. Not from the passage given.

No for B. He spends time with the officers because they asked him to.

It is not A. He seems to fit in with everyone.

What can the opening lines of Beowulf tell us about the original delivery of the poem?
hoa [83]

Answer:

In some ways, “Beowulf” represents a link between two traditions, the old pagan traditions (exemplified by the virtues of courage in war and the acceptance of feuds between men and countries as a fact of life) and the new traditions of the Christian religion.
