Answer:

b. capillary

Explanation:

Blood capillaries are the smallest vessels of the circulatory system (5 to 10 μm). It is in them that the gas exchange between the blood and body cells occurs (in the process called diffusion), as well as the delivery of nutrients and the excretion uptake of metabolism. The capillaries are extremely thin, formed only by a layer of endothelial tissue.

The capillaries located in the lungs are responsible for the diffusion process where it allows the red blood cells to release carbon dioxide collected by the systemic circulation and carry oxygen molecules back into the body. Red blood cells have a larger diameter than the blood capillaries themselves, so during their passage they undergo a slight change in shape to be able to flow through the capillaries.

In what ways does the "viscosity" of H₂O — as a property of H₂O — beneficial to life on Earth? {No answer choices given. WILL CO
butalik [34]

The viscosity of water is the thickness of water (it might also be considered the stickiness when talking about other fluids). Water has many properties, and the viscosity of water influences in many of them. We can take the surface tension of a liquid as an example. The more viscous a substance is, higher will the surface tension be and vice versa since there will be a higher and lower attraction between molecules respectively.

→ The surface tension of water is something really important since it contributes in many ways to the environment and if you think about it, if the water was a little less viscous, there wouldn't be water since the viscosity of water makes it resistant to evaporation to a certain degree.

Hope it helped,

Why are diploid cell cultures preferred over continuous cell cultures
musickatia [10]
Diploid cells are cells that are normally generated from mitosis which came from humans, animals and plants. Unlike continuous cell cultures, they are capable or functioning normally and is subject to apoptosis which is highly unlikable to continuous cell cultures.
