Answer:

The correct option is A, since if the DNA enters in a circular form it is called a plasmid, and the plasmids upon entering the bacteria self-replicate outside the genetic structure, which gives the bacteria better survival qualities.

Explanation:

Plasmids are generally circular extrachromosomal DNA molecules that replicate and transmit independently of chromosomal DNA, and are normally present in bacteria, archaea, and sometimes in eukaryotic organisms such as yeast. Its size varies from 3 to 10 kb. The number of plasmids can vary, depending on their type, from a single copy to a few hundred per cell. Plasmid vectors allow cloning of exogenous DNA ligands of up to 4 kb since a larger size than this makes cloning in these vectors difficult. The term plasmid was first introduced by the American molecular biologist Joshua Lederberg in 1952. Plasmids can only coexist as one or more copies in each bacterium, due to cell division they can be lost in one of the secreted bacteria.

make a list of all the non photosynthetic parts of a plant that need a supply of sucrose and amino acids
STatiana [176]

Answer:

The non-photosynthetic parts of the plant include any parts that lack chlorophyll, such as the roots, woody stems, fruits, and seeds. These parts of the plant do not contain chlorophyll, and thus are unable to capture light energy from the Sun. They rely on photosynthetic parts of the plant, such as the leaves and parts of the stem to do photosynthesis. In vascular plants, the nutrients produced during photosynthesis are transported to non-photosynthetic parts of the plant through the phloem. Phloem is a vascular tissue designed to transport glucose and other nutrients produced during photosynthesis to parts of the plant that are non-photosynthetic, such as the roots.

In complete sentences describe the energy flow between the Sun, the Earth, and space.
evablogger [386]

Answer: The energy from the sun passes through space in the form of invisible waves to the earth surface. It heats up the earth’s surface causing variation in climate.

Explanation:

The amount of incoming energy from the Sun decides the weather and climate of earth. If the energy that is incoming and outgoing on the earth, then climate is in equilibrium. The balance is depending on the scattering, absorption, reflection and transformation of energy.

The energy from sun passes through space and reaches the earth’s surface. On reaching surface, the solar energy warms the atmosphere releasing heat energy which gets transferred throughout the planets system by radiation, conduction and convection. Conduction happens in the atmosphere within first several millimeters close to the surface. This heated air expands as it is dense and rises causing transfer of heat to atmosphere through convection process. It results in formation of clouds.

The radiant energy from sun is transmitted via space in form of invisible waves. But much of the suns radiant energy, is transmitted back to atmosphere. The objects on earth like land, plants, animals absorb radiant energy as heat of which one third gets re-radiated back to atmosphere that is absorbed by carbon dioxide and water vapor. The atmosphere radiates heat energy back to earth increasing the earth temperature. This trapping of radiation is greenhouse effect.

The thermal energy obtained by convection currents are responsible for wind, cloud formation, and weather formation.  The hydrosphere that comprises of 70% of earth’s surface absorbs solar energy.

On the basis of the above explanation is:

The energy from the sun passes through space in the form of invisible waves to the earth surface. It heats up the earth’s surface causing variation in climate.
