Answer:

During the Harlem Renaissance, African-American artists sought to publicize their culture and show through art the different experiences of African-American society, while demonstrating to the world their artistic ability at the same time.

Explanation:

Harlem Renaissance is the name given to a cultural movement developed by the African American community between the 1920's and 1930's, which originated in the neighborhood of Harlem, New York. The movement sought to redefine black identity on a cultural basis, and influenced a number of American and European authors in both the music and literature fields. The most common topics were the experience of racism, oral folklore, jazz music and its derivatives, and social criticism.

which early president passed the unpopular alien and sedition Acts which restricted people speaking out against government and a
Vladimir [108]

Answer:

John Adams

Explanation:

Inspired by Hamilton, Adams issued in 1798, on the basis of a congressional decision, the reactionary Aliens Act, based on which the president was given the right to expel any unwanted foreigner from the United States. Another one, Sedition Act, gave the president the right to punish with a fine for opposing government orders or putting in print information or articles criticizing government. These laws met with the sympathy and approval of Washington.

The Republicans vigorously resisted Adams' actions, accusing him of establishing new tyranny and urging the masses to defend the first paragraph of constitutional amendments, prohibiting Congress from introducing any legislative acts aimed at restricting freedom of speech and press. The states of Connecticut and Virginia responded with threats to secede from the Union and sharply condemned restrictions on freedom of speech and press.

The Cane Toad is an invasive species meant to solve a problem...what problem was it and what ended up happening?
Xelga [282]

Answer:

Beetles began devouring  Sugar Cane field in Queensland, Australia in 1930, so Farmers got desperate.Tales quickly spread of a toad that loved nothing more than to dine on cane beetles. The thinking went that a few hundred cane toads which can grow as large as dinner plates and weigh up to 4.5 pounds (2 kilograms) would gobble up all the cane beetles so that farmers could get back to farming.

In 1935, two suitcases of South American cane toads made the journey from Puerto Rico where a similar scheme was successful to Hawaii and then on to Australia. Rather than hang out in the cane fields though, those original 102 toads set out across the continent and have mushroomed in number to more than 1.5 billion.

Today, toads have conquered more than 386,000 square miles (1 million square kilometers) of Australia.

Hope this helps :)
