can someone please explain to me on how to find the GCF in like bigger numbers. for example the picture shows one of the problems I'm stuck on how to find out the GCF???

$\dfrac{25}{40} = \dfrac{25 \div 5}{40 \div 5} = \dfrac{5}{8}$

Answer: GCF = 5

To find GCF:

25 = 5 x 5
40 = 5 x 8

GCF ⇒ Find the common factors.
Here, there is only 5 that is common. So 5 is the GCF.
