Answer:

In his farewell address, President George Washington warn against becoming overly involved with foreign politics.

Explanation:

In his Farewell Address, Washington warned against foreign influence in domestic affairs and US interference in European affairs. He warned against bitter partisanship in domestic politics and urged men to go beyond partisanship and serve the common good. He warned against "permanent alliances with any part of the outside world," and said the United States should focus primarily on American interests. He advised friendship and trade with all nations, but cautioned against participating in European wars and entering into long-term "entanglements" of alliances.

The Farewell Address quickly established the values of America regarding religion and foreign affairs.

can you havs an effective social contract if you have significant economic and social inequality? (answer in 4 sentences)
jekas [21]

Answer:

Social contract is the covenant between an individual and the state. Existence of the states is defensible when the individuals of the society obliquely approve to confine to the standards of the society in return for the peaceable survival and living in the society.

Explanation:

Thomas Hobbes was the one who proposed this social contract theory during Enlightment era. Societies agree to obey in all matters in return for an assurance of harmony and safety in the society. If inequality prevails in the society, then there will not be amity, peace and harmony.

Many protests would take place which makes the people go against the laws of the government.

Which characteristic of the people in Africa did Prince Henry of Portugal see as an opportunity for Christianity?
Nataly [62]

Answer:

The correct answer is: they practiced Islam and traditional native beliefs .

Explanation:

In 1415, King Henry of Portugal (also known as Henry the Navigator) led an attack on Ceuta (a town located in Morocco) with his father and his brothers. When Henry conquered Ceuta, he became obsessed with Africa, especially with his biggest desire, to conquer the Muslims who lived there and convert them into Christians.

He was convinced that he could convert the African Muslim population into good Christians, as they practiced and strictly obeyed Islam and its traditional native beliefs. Those characteristics were particularly adequate for King Henry to spread the Christian influence.
