Well the first equation is in General form Ax + By = c. So you have to rearrange it into slope intercept form y = mx + c. So the equation -2y + x = -8 can be rearranged to become y = -0.5x + 4. That's the first equation. m = -0.5 or -1/2 and c = 4. Therefore using rise over run from 4 you can easily graph it.

The second equation also needs to be rearranged into slope intercept form y = mx + c. The equation 0 = -x + 4 - 2y can be rearranged to 2y = -x + 4 then to y = -0.5x + 2. Hence m = -0.5 or -1/2 and c = 2. Therefore you now have all the information plot the two equations. If you need any clarification or questions feel free to ask me.

Answer:

$25.57

Step-by-step explanation:

First, you have to multiply $5.29 by 2 because she wants to spend $5.29 on 2 pairs of socks.

5.29 * 2 = $10.58

Then you want to add $10.58 and $14.99 together.

$10.58 + $14.99 = $25.57

1, a.) The two specific conjectures are in the first image.

1, b.) The two general conjectures are in the second image.

2, a.) Two specific conjectures for this pattern are:

  • The common difference between two consecutive terms is 3.
  • And the given difference is A.P.

2, b.) From our observation two general conjecture is that the given sequence is an arithmetic sequence and the common difference is 3.

For finding its nth term we can use the formula: a(n) = a + (n-1) x d.

2, c.) A formula for the given pattern is 5 + (n-1)3, where n is the number of the term.
