How do you write 0.045 as a reduced fraction
Anvisha [2.4K]
0.045 = 45/1000

Divide top and bottom by their greatest common factor.
It looks to me as though the greatest common factor of  45  and  1,000  is  5 .
Divide top and bottom by  5  and we have  <u>9/200</u> .  That's the simplest form.

Solve for h<br> h - 3h - 8 = 14<br> H=?
sweet [91]

The initial step that must be taken before solving almost any problem is to understand what the problem is asking for us to do and what is provided to us to complete that goal.  Looking at the problem statement, we can see that we are being requested to solve for h and we are provided an expression to do so.  Let's begin solving the expression by combining like terms.

<u>Combine like terms</u>

  • h - 3h - 8 = 14
  • (h - 3h) - 8 = 14
  • (- 2h) - 8 = 14

Just a quick explanation on what combine like terms means, it basically just means to combine the coefficients of the numbers associated with the same variables.  Like in this example we can combine h and -3h because they have have the variable h associated with them.

<u>Add 8 to both sides</u>

  • (- 2h) - 8 = 14
  • (- 2h) - 8+ 8 = 14 + 8
  • - 2h= 22

<u>Divide both sides by -2</u>

  • - 2h= 22
  • \frac{- 2h}{-2}= \frac{22}{-2}
  • h= \frac{22}{-2}

<u>Simplify the expression</u>

  • h= - \frac{22/2}{2/2}
  • h= - \frac{11}{1}
  • h= - 11

Therefore, after completing the steps above we were able to determine that the value of h is equal to -11.

Find the 78th term of the arithmetic sequence<br> -12,-13,-14,
creativ13 [48]

Answer:

  -89

Step-by-step explanation:

The first term of the sequence is a1 = -12.

The common difference between terms is ...

  d = -13 -(-12) = -1

The generic term is given by ...

  an = a1 +d(n -1)

Then the 78th term is ...

  a78 = -12 +(-1)(78 -1) = -12 -77

  a78 = -89
