Began with a peace agreement, the Paris Peace Accords, signed by the United States and South Vietnam on one side of the Vietnam War and communist North Vietnam and the insurgent Viet Cong on the other. Although honored in some respects, the peace agreement was violated by both North and South Vietnam as the struggle for power and control of territory in South Vietnam continued. North Vietnam released all American prisoners of war and the United States completed its military withdrawal from South Vietnam.

Which of the following was not an outcome of John Brown’s Raid on Harper's Ferry? Question 1 options:
Bogdan [553]

Answer:

Option A: John Brown was captured and later hung.

Explanation:

John Brown was an American abolitionist (one who sought to end slavery in the United States). He led an armed insurrection to overthrow the slavery in United States of America. He gained national attention during the Bleeding Kansas crises of 1856 in which he along with his supporter killed the supporters of slavery. Later at the Battle of Black Jack he commanded the anti-slavery forces. In 1859 John Brown also led a raid on Harper's Ferry (a federal armory) and tried to start a slave liberation movement. He seized the armory but his movement was fizzled out within 2 days and his men were killed and captured. Brown was tried and found guilty and later was hanged.
