Answer:

A. He declares that France and Britain are not willing to risk conflict to enforce sanctions.

Explanation:

The League of nations was formed among thirty-two countries of the world on January, 20, 1920. The agreement reached therein was that none of the member countries would go to war, and that failure to comply to this directive would result to sanctions for the defaulter.

Benito Mussolini was a Journalist and Prime minister of Italy at the time. Mussolini disregarded the agreement of the League of Nations by going to war with Ethiopia. He believed that Britain and France would not want to risk alliance with Italy given the developing powers of Germany. True to his belief, Britain and France did not impose any serious sanctions on Italy, and so, he was able to achieve his purpose of attacking Ethiopia in the year, 1935.

Answer:

x = 12; y = 12

B

Explanation:

TRiangles CED and BCA are similar by AA

<CBA = <CDE                 Marked as equal

<C is common to both triangles.

=============

y/24 are the two sides opposite <C This ratio is equal to

24/48 These two are opposite the angles marked in orange.

y/24 = 24/48               You could cancel the right side before cross multiplication

y / 24 = 1/2                   Cross multiply

2y = 24                         Divide by 2

2y/2 = 24/2                  Do the division

y = 12

======================================

Now use <CED and <A to get the ratio associated with their sides. These two angles are equal because the other two angles are.

18/(24+x)

Now use the two 2 orange angles

24/ 48 = 18 / (24 + x) and again cancel the left before cross multiplying.

1/2 = 18/(24 + x )             Cross multiply

24 + x = 2*18                  Do the multiplication

24 + x + 36                     Subtract 24 from both sides.

24-24 + x = 36 - 24       Combine

x = 12

What is the main economic crop in the dry zone?<br>this is a geography question
V125BC [204]
Dry farmed crops may include grapes, tomatoes, pumpkins, beans, and other summer crops. These crops grow using the winter water stored in the soil, rather than depending on rainfall during the growing season. Dryland farmed crops may include winter wheat, maize, beans, sunflowers or even watermelon.

Dry farming is cultivation of crops in regions with annual rainfall less thsan 750mm. Crop failure is most common due to prolonged dry spells during crop period. These are arid regions with a growing season (period of adequate soil moisture) less than 75 days.
