Mashutka [201]

Answer: It is a disorder of the parasympathetic division of the ANS.

Explanation:

Hypertension or high blood pressure is a condition which occurs when the  force of blood flow against the walls of the body's arteries increases. This force causes a higher level of wear and tear. Some of the causes of hypertension include genetic predisposition, obesity and  an overactive sympathetic vasoconstrictor response.

The autonomic Nervous System (ANS) controls blood pressure. The sympathetic ANS is responsible for increasing blood pressure while the parasympathetic ANS decreases it. However, a malfunction of the ANS results in hypotension  and not hypertension.
