9 x 3, you can't exactly get 24 juice boxes. Therefore, Mrs. Redding needs 3 packages.

Olive flipped a coin and rolled a number cube with the numbers 1-6 on it.What is the probability that she flipped heads and roll
Helen [10]
The probability that Olive flips heads and rolls an even number is 3/12 or 1/4.

These events are known as independent events which means the result of one event will not affect the other. The find the probability of the two events, you must multiply the probability of flipping heads and rolling an even number on a number cube.

1/2 x 3/6 = 3/12 OR 1/4 :)

How should I attempt this question:
Anna35 [415]
 You need to divide this problem into two parts
first part is when it was accelerating.. that time use the equation of motion and calculate what is the total angle covered and hence you get the number of revolutions
then find the time of acceleration..so you ll  understand for how much did you do the above calculation
for the rest of the time, the speed is constant (final angular speed).. so now you just use
 w= theta/ time.. and get theta and again calculate the number of revolutions!

The maintenance department at the main campus of a large state university receives daily requests to replace fluorecent lightbul
pshichka [43]

Answer:

P₂   [ 32  ≤ X ≤ 46 ] = 47,71 %

Step-by-step explanation:

The rule:

68-95-99.7

establishes

P₁  [ μ₀ - σ ≤ X ≤ μ₀ + σ] ≈ 0,683

P₂   [ μ₀ - 2σ ≤ X ≤ μ₀ + 2σ] ≈ 0,954

P₃  [ μ₀ - 3σ ≤ X ≤ μ₀ + 3σ] ≈ 0,997

For our paticular case we have

μ₀   =  46

 σ    = 7

Then we get:

μ₀ - σ  = 39            μ₀ +  σ  =   53

μ₀ - 2σ  =  32        μ₀ +  2σ = 60

μ₀ - 3σ  =  25          μ₀ +  3σ  = 67

We were asked by % of replacement request numbering between 32 and 46.

Normal curve is symmetric therefore μ₀ - 2σ  =  32  is just half of the interval  P₂   [ μ₀ - 2σ ≤ X ≤ μ₀ + 2σ] ≈ 0,954, then between 32 and 46 the porcentage of lightbulb is 0,954/2  , is 0,4771 or 47,71 %

P₂   [ μ₀ - 2σ ≤ X ≤ μ₀ ]    = P₂   [ 32  ≤ X ≤ 46 ] = 47,71 %
