Answer:

10%

Explanation:

Cash paid as semiannual coupon payment is $250,000

semiannual annual interest rate=semiannual coupon payment/face value of the bond.

The face value of the bond is $5,000,000

stated semiannual rate of interest=$250,000/$5,000,000=5%

Stated annual rate of interest =semiannual rate of interest *2

stated annual rate of interest=5%*2=10%

The coupon rate quoted on Tomkin Library Systems is 10% per year

yield to maturity =$220,000/$5,500,000*2=8%

Since the coupon rate is higher than the yield ,the bond was issued at a premium of $500,000 above its face value of $5 million

Indirect costs incurred in a manufacturing environment that cannot be traced directly to a product are treated as a.period costs
Dima020 [189]

Answer:

Indirect costs incurred in a manufacturing environment that cannot be traced directly to a product are treated as Product costs and expenses when the goods are sold, Option D.

Explanation:

Indirect costs are also manufacturing overheads which cannot be directly put on the product but they have to be allocated in some way. So, these are treated as 'product costs' and 'expenses' when the goods are sold. They are not period costs as per Option A and option C. Option B which says that it is product costs when incurred, which is also incorrect.

Examples of indirect costs can be accounting and legal expenses, rent, telephone expenses, salaries of administrative.

Direct costs includes the costs of direct 'labor', materials and commissions.

An amortized loan: Multiple Choice requires the principal amount to be repaid in even increments over the life of the loan. may
babymother [125]

Answer:

The correct answer is: may have equal or increasing amounts applied to the principal from each loan payment.

Explanation:

Amortization can be defined as the process of spreading out the loan in monthly payments. An amortized loan has scheduled periodic payments for both interests as well as principal. If the payments for each period are equal it is called a fully amortized loan.

In amortized loans the interest is paid off first then the amount excess of interest reduces the principal. A common example of amortized loans is auto loans, home loans.

The payments for amortized loans can be equal or unequal for each period.
