So, number of home run hit by Karinne is more home runs than 1/2 the number of home runs Lu hit.

So, number of home run Karinne hit is :

$y = 4 + 0.5x$

Also,

$x + y = 10$

Solving above two equation, we get :

x + ( 4 + 0.5x ) = 10

1.5x + 4 = 10

1.5x = 6

x = 4

Therefore, number of home run hit by Lu is 4.
