Answer:

15 units²

Step-by-step explanation:

Since there is no specific formula to work the area of this shape, we have to use the area of a square and the area of a triangle. We can see that the shape is composed of 2 regular shapes that we know the area's for hence why I put we have to use the area of a square and the area of a triangle.

Area of rectangle = 3 × 3 = 9

But we have a base length for the triangle as well as the triangle so we have to minus the square length from the overall length to find the triangle base length so 7 - 3 = 4

Area of a triangle = 1 / 2 × Base × Height

Area of a triangle = 1 / 2 × 4 × 3

Area of triangle = 6

Now we add the overall areas together to get the final area of the whole shape so

Area of the triangle + Area of the square = Total Area

6 + 9 = 15

So the answer is 15 units²

Given,

  • HK is the perpendicular bisector of GJ. So, <u>GK = KJ</u>.
  • GK = 2x + 10
  • KJ = 3x - 15

_______________

Find KJ .

_______________

First find the value of x

\sf \: GK \:  = KJ \\\sf 2x + 10 = 3x - 15 \\\sf 2x - 3x =  - 15 - 10 \\ \sf - x =  - 25 \\  \sf \: -  >   \boxed{\bf \: x = 25}

Now, find the value of KJ.

\sf3x - 15 \\  \sf= 3(25) - 15 \\  \sf=7 5 - 15 \\     = \boxed{\bf \: 60}

-> The value of KJ is <u>6</u><u>0</u><u>.</u>

_______________

Hope it helps.

Select all the rates that are unit rates.
Nataly_w [17]

Answer:

\frac{2/3}{1} and \frac{3}{1}

Step-by-step explanation:

Options

\frac{1}{1/3}     \frac{2/3}{1}     \frac{2}{3}     \frac{3}{1}     \frac{1}{9}

Required

Select the unit rates

Unit rate involve two items where the first item being measured can be any positive number, but the second item must be measured in units (i.e. 1)

For clarity:

If \frac{a}{b} represents unit rate, then b = 1

Having said that:

Only \frac{2/3}{1} and \frac{3}{1} satisfy the condition of unit rates; others are not because they have a denominator other than 1
