Solution:
here, in triangle JKL, let angle J be x,
Then,
angle K = 3x
angle L = 8x

Now,
J + K + L = 180°
x + 3x + 8x = 180°
12x = 180°
x = 180°/12
x = 15°
So,
angle J = x
= 15°
angle K = 3x
= 3*15°
= 45°
angle L = 8x
= 8*15°
= 120°

Please solve these systems of equations by substitution.
yarga [219]

Step-by-step explanation:

x+ 2(7-x) = 11

x+14-2x = 11

-x = -3

x = 3

3+ y = 7

y = 4

x + 2(22-x) = 48

x + 44 -2x = 48

-x = 4

x = -4

-4 + y = 22

y = 26

y = 45-x

x + 2(45-x) = 36

x + 90 -2x = 36

-x = 54

x = -54

-54 + y = 45

y = 99

romanna [79]

m=58 (Slope of given equation)

C=43 (Y-Intercept)

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1:

Let the general equation y intercept is given by Y=mX+C

Here Y= Y value

          m= Slope of equation

           C= Y-Intercept

Step 2:

The given equation is given by Y=58X+43

Here m= 58 is the Slope of the given equation

Rick's lumberyard has 360 yd of fencing with which to enclose a rectangular area. If the enclosed area is x yards long, express
cestrela7 [59]

Answer:

180x - x²

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the yard has 360 yd. of fencing, hence the perimeter of Rick's lumberyard has 360 yd.

Given that the yard is x yards long. Let y represent the width of the yard. Hence:

Perimeter of the yard = 2(length + width) = 2(x + y)

Substituting:

360 = 2(x + y)

180 = x + y

y = 180 - x

Therefore the width of the yard is (180 - x) yard.

The area of the yard is the product of the length and the width, hence:

Area (A) = length * width

A = x * (180 - x)

A = 180x - x²

lubasha [3.4K]

Answer:

The first graph will be correct.

Step-by-step explanation:

The given inequality is y + 5 < x .......... (1)

Now, straight-line y + 5 = x will be the reference line of the solution of the given inequality (1).

Now, y + 5 = x

⇒ x - y = 5

⇒ \frac{x}{5} + \frac{y}{- 5} = 1 ......... (2)

This equation is in intercept form and the straight line will pass through the points (5,0) and (0,-5)

Now, point (5,0) does not satisfy inequality (1) and hence, the line (2) is not included in the solution of the inequality (1).

Now, (0,0) point is above the line (2), but (0,0) point also does not satisfy inequality (1) as 0 + 5 \nless 0.

Therefore, the solution of the inequality is below the line (2) but not including the line.

Hence, the first graph will be correct. (Answer)
