Answer:- D) AAS Theorem

Explanation:-

Given :- Δ ADC where ∠A=∠C , ∠ABD=90° which means Bd is an altitude .

⇒∠CBD =90° [∵∠ABD+∠CBD=180° linear pair]

Proof :- In  ∆ABD and ∆CBD.

∠A=∠C [given]..> angle

∠ABD=∠CBD [right angle]..> angle

BD=BD [Reflexive property]..> side

⇒ ∆ABD ≅ ∆CBD [by AAS congruence theorem]

AAS congruence theorem tells that if two angles and one side of a triangle is congruent to the two angles and one side of a triangle then the triangles are congruent.

Hey there!

Triangle CBD is congruent to triangle ABD. This means that BD is congruent to BD by reflexive property. You have two congruent angles, and one congruent side. This would be AAS theorem. The answer is D.

I hope this helps!

2y+4x=12

Move 4x to the other side as a negative number

2y=-4x+12

Divide all terms by 2

y=-2x+6

Now, in order for two lines to be perpendicular, their gradients have to multiply obeyed to get -1 (let a be the gradient of the given line and let b be the gradient of the line we're trying to find)

So, we do -2*b=-1

so, b is equal to 1/2

Now, we are given a coordinate so we substitute it in y-y1=m(x-x1)

y-1=1/2(x-8)

Expand brackets

y-1= 1/2x-4

Take -1 to the other side as a positive number

y=1/2x-3

So, the equation of the line is y=1/2x-3

ludmilkaskok [199]

Answer:

Probability that effect is real = 0.97

Step-by-step explanation:

Given data :

ratio of true to false = 0.7

Alpha level = 0.05

power of study = 0.8

Determine the probability that this effect is real

From the question we can deduce : 70% of events are real , 30% of events are not real

% of real effect = 0.8 * 70% = 56%

% of false effect = alpha level * percentage of unreal events

                          =  0.05 * 30% = 1.5%

summation of effects = 56 + 1.5 = 57.5%

Hence probability that the effect is real

= 56% / 57.5%

= 0.9739 ≈ 0.97
