<span>Before answering the question, some explanation about the purpose of flow cytometry. The cytometry analysis provides us with the presence and the abundance of </span><span>clusters of differentiation (CD), for example, the research of CD2, CD3 and CD4 in lymphocytes. </span>These CDs will be marked (if they are present) with specific antibodies linked with different fluorochromes, and when the <span>cells exit the flow cell intersect, a laser detects these fluorochromes (representing CDs) and count them. </span><span>The result will be displayed in a graph showing the frequency of the CDs with spots of different colours.
