829 feet per second is your answer. You do this by doing 9,944in/s x ft./12in. Cancel out the in., and multiply to get 9,944ft in 12 seconds. Divide 9,944 by 12 to get around 828.6 ft., and then then round it up to get 829 ft. per second.

Can two box plots have the same range and iqr
Salsk061 [2.6K]
Yes they can!  Just because two plots have the same IQR and range, does not mean that the rest of the data has to be the exact same.  For example, the median.

melamori03 [73]

Answer:

a person travel 50 ft from the bottom to the top of the escalator

Step-by-step explanation:

An escalator lifts people to the second floor of a building, 25 ft above the first floor. The escalator rises at a 30 degree angle

The escalator forms a right angle triangle

opposite to 30 degree angle is 25 feet. to find the distance from the bottom to the top of the escalator we find the hypotenuse

let x be the hypotenuse

sin(theta)=\frac{opposite}{hypotenuse}

sin(30)=\frac{25}{x}\\x sin(30)= 25\\x=\frac{25}{sin(30)} \\x=50\\

a person travel 50 ft from the bottom to the top of the escalator
