A consequence of trade along the eastern Mediterranean was not simply economic growth and political clout, but also the exchange of cultural ideas, innovations, and techniques.

Trade was and still is vital to help nations thrive. In the past it was not different. But Trade involves people interacting, trading not only goods but also experiences, that come in the form of new techniques, innovative tools and ideals, culture, among others.

Different nations were always trading goods and experience.

1. Railroad can now give supplies better but now many are homeless

2. Think of it simplistically, if an employer can pay 5 people with $10 each (just an example), and then now the employer is forced to give each person $12.50, that means he’s now forced to lay off one of those 5 people so the other 4 people can have $12.50 each.

Basically it results in employees making more money, but also that other employees suffer and lose their jobs because of it. People want to raise minimum wage until they lose their jobs lol

3. In what way does disenfranchisement make America "a liar", according to DuBois?
ziro4ka [17]

Answer:

America calls itself a democracy but takes away the right to vote for some of its citizens.

Explanation:

A series of laws, new constitutions and those deliberate actions that prevented the black citizens from voting came to be known as Disenfranchisement. This Disenfranchisement took place in the years following the end of the Reconstruction Era. The first measure of Disenfranchisement was observed from Oklahoma following its statehood in the year 1907.

On these measures W. E. B. Du Bois, who emerged as the spokesperson for his race argued that though the United States calls itself a democracy, it takes away the right to vote for some of its citizens.
