Nativism is the policy to endorse the security of the native population against those of immigrants.
The immigration of people from other countries like Japan, Europe, and Africa has created a problem like unemployment for the Native American population.
To protect the native population the American congress has passed a bill called, The immigration Act of 1924 in which immigration policy and procedures are constituted. It had formulated a system to limit the number of immigrants based on the job requirement and skill level. A quota system has been introduced proportionate to the immigrant population. This Act of 1924 has reduced the tension between the natives and immigrants.
