A line passes through the points (–5, 2) and (10, –1). Which is the equation of the line?
givi [52]

The correct answer is A) y = -1/5x + 1

To find the equation of the line, start by finding the slope. You can do this by using the slope formula below.

m(slope) = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)

m = (2 - -1)/(-5 - 10)

m = 3/-15

m = -1/5

Now that we have the slope, we can use it along with either point in point-slope form to get the equation.

y - y1 = m(x - x1)

y - 2 = -1/5(x + 5)

y - 2 = -1/5x - 1

y = -1/5x + 1

Thanks guys for helping me guys question 6
viktelen [127]
So, doing a guess and check,

Liza's house.

From Liza's house to the Park it is 5\frac{1}{2} miles.

From the Park to the Library it is also 5\frac{1}{2} miles.

From the Library to Dan it is 4 miles.

From Dan it is 3 miles back to Liza's house.

So you must add all those together,

5\frac{1}{2}+5\frac{1}{2}+4+3

We got lucky because 5\frac{1}{2}+5\frac{1}{2} have common denominators.

So,

5\frac{1}{2}
+
5\frac{1}{2}

=11     (\frac{1}{2}+\frac{1}{2}=1, so 5+5+1)

So that is 11, then,

11+4+3=18

18 miles total.

This is your route. From Liza's house to the Park, then Library, then Dan's, then back to Liza's house.

19 e) Find the value of x. ASAP. Will give brainliest!
ANEK [815]

Answer:

X= 40

Step-by-step explanation:

A triangle always equals 180°. In order to find x, add 75 and 65,

75 + 65 =140

then divide 140 and 180,

180 / 140 = 40

then in order to make sure it's the right answer add 75,65, and 40 together. If it equals to 180, then it's the right answer.

Find the range of values that represent the middle 99.7% of distribution
sammy [17]
The middle 99.7<span>% of data in a normal </span>distribution<span> is the </span>range<span> from µ – 3σ to µ + 3σ. The standard deviation is 55, so 3σ = 3 ∙ 55 or 165. Therefore, the </span>range of values<span> in the </span>middle 99.7<span>% is 251 < X < 581.</span>
