Essential amino acids are those one cannot manufacture, because the body lack the enzymes necessary to create them from other biological molecules, thus they must be supplied from the diet each day. They include histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan and valine. Anorexia is a characteristic phenomenon that is induced by many types of dietary essential amino acid deficiencies . A valine deficiency for example is one of the strongest inducers of anorexia among deficiencies of the 9 essential amino acids.

masha68 [24]

Answer:

Body\ surface\ area=\sqrt {\frac {Weight\times Height}{3600}}

Explanation:

Skin covers all the body surfaces. The purpose of the skin is protect the body against infection, injury, heat or cold and also to store water and vitamins.

Body surface area is  measure of surface area of the human body. It is measured in m^2.

<u>There are many ways to measure the skin surface area of the body but the formula which is widely used is Mosteller formula, which is:</u>

Body\ surface\ area=\sqrt {\frac {Weight\times Height}{3600}}

<h2>Diffuse co-evolution </h2>

Explanation:

The term ‘diffuse co-evolution’ was given by Janzen in 1980 to describe the idea that selection on traits often reflects the actions of many community members, as opposed to pairwise interactions between species

The idea was further clarified by Gould in 1988 by focusing on a variety of ecological and genetic mechanisms that might lead to diffuse co-evolution in response to selection from multiple species

Diffuse co-evolution as a whole can be defined as when selection imposed reciprocally by one species on another is dependent on the presence or absence of other species

In the given example panic grass can live only when the fungus protuberata is present and for Curvularia protuberata to colonize Curvularia thermal tolerance virus must be present so there is a web of multiple species where one species is dependent on other species and that other species in turn is dependent on different species hence referred to as diffuse co-evolution
