During the Han Dynasty(206BCE-220CE), Confucianism was the dominant ideology.

<em>The Analects </em>is a collection of quotes and anecdotes that it is believed were compiled by Confucius pupils in various texts, and are considered a valid source of information.

An early version of the Analects was carved on stone tablets in 175 CE.

There are other books with information about Confucis and the Han dynasty: the Book of Mencius, the Great Learning, and the Doctrine of the Mean.
