After the end of the Cold War in 1990-1991, former US president George H. Bush came out with an ambitious idea: to install a new world order, a new era. In this ideal, global order, all the nations would live peacefully and in harmony, there would be a universal rule of law, all nations would follow rules; the right of the weak would be respected by the strong; there would be less fear of the  threat of terrorism and a stronger pursuit of justice. This was going to be a world free and democratic. Bush said that all nations could live in harmony and achieve common prosperity and share a common responsibility for freedom. This was a chance to fulfill the high ideals and objectives of the United Nations as conceived in 1945.
