Answer: Wage discrimination is the discrimination shown in the payment of wages towards minority groups. The targets of wage discrimination are black men and women, and white women. They are faced with diminished wage earning for a similar job with similar performance levels and responsibilities as white males.

Explanation: People doing the same job or work of equal value should get the same or equal pay; but in many cases they don't, even though though the law says they ought to. You are entitled to the same pay as anyone doing the same or broadly similar job, or a job of equal value, regardless of gender.

Some types of discrimination include the following: a) Harassment – inappropriate jokes, insults, name-calling or displays such as a poster or cartoons directed at a person because of their race, colour, sex or gender, sexual orientation, etc.

Wage discrimination can be corrected by using legal means. Here's What it Takes to Sue For Gender Pay Discrimination—and Win.  Pay discrimination based on sex has long been illegal. Both the Equal Pay Act of 1963 (EPA) and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibit paying someone less for the same work because of gender.
