Answer:The Industrial Revolution, which took place from the 18th to 19th centuries, was a period during which predominantly agrarian, rural societies in Europe and America became industrial and urban. Prior to the Industrial Revolution, which began in Britain in the late 1700s, manufacturing was often done in people’s homes, using hand tools or basic machines. Industrialization marked a shift to powered, special-purpose machinery, factories and mass production. The iron and textile industries, along with the development of the steam engine, played central roles in the Industrial Revolution, which also saw improved systems of transportation, communication and banking. While industrialization brought about an increased volume and variety of manufactured goods and an improved standard of living for some, it also resulted in often grim employment and living conditions for the poor and working classes.

Why did southerners dislike tariffs so much?
Alexus [3.1K]
Answer -
C. They were more dependent on imported manufactured goods so they bore the brunt of most of the tariffs.

Reason -

The South relied heavily on agriculture, and had little industry, so they got their manufactured goods from Europe. The tariffs forced them to pay extremely high taxes on those goods. The North, however, was very industrial, and they had most of these manufactured goods- they didn't get them from overseas and therefore didn't have to pay tariffs on them. Since the tariffs on Europe's goods were so high, the South had to rely on the North, who could basically sell those goods to the South at any ridiculous price they wanted to. It was not a fair deal.

The correct answer choice to the question: This statement is based upon the assumption that..., would be: The allied powers will defeat Nazi Germany.

Explanation:

This particular excerpt has been taken from the document "Atlantic Charter", issued on 14th August, 1941, and signed by both President Franklin D. Roosevelt and Prime Minister Churchill. In it the two leaders inform the world of the reason for the need for armed actions against the rising threat presented by Hitler´s regime, and the correctness of their acting immediately, with the help of all their allies, to stop the tyranny of Nazi Germany and Hitler. In this charter, the leaders practically assure the world that action is needed, that both Britain and the U.S commit themselves to achieving what it right and necessary for the wellfare of the entire world and their wish for peace, and the ensuring of the rights that all people should expect. They are assuring the world that Germany will be defeated by their joint power. This is why the answer is the one above.
