The terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, have changed and affected the US society in different ways. First of all, there have been a change in family life as people tend to spend more time at home and church. Secondly, there has been an increase in the feeling of patriotism out of a feeling of defense of the country. Besides, and perhaps one of the most noticeable effects, is in security. There has been a huge investment in the improvement of civil safety as well as air travel security measures. This can be seen for example in the The USA Patriot Act, passed shortly after the attack, which was mainly focused on anti-terrorist actions as well as in The creation of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. As it is clear, the attacks have changed the mind and life of Americans and of the whole world.

The 9/11 attack was a turning point in the American society, but also in the Muslim world. Because of this attack, global offensive started against the Muslim extremists, and also a big anti Muslim sentiment has developed among the people in the United States, mainly of fear and disgust from the 9/11 attack, as well as other attacks performed by suicide bombers. Because of this, in the United States, a Muslim person is seen with skepticism and as not trustworthy, and it also contributed to the segregation of the Muslims, as well as people keeping away from them.

What does Socrates method of questioning later develop into?
guapka [62]

The Socratic method exists as an education tactic in which questions exist asked continually until either the student gives a wrong answer or reasoning or the teacher exists comfortable with the student's responses.

What is the Socratic method used for?

The Greek philosopher Socrates is the source of the Socratic method. He would probe his students' perspectives by asking them questions until any inconsistencies were revealed. This approach to questioning was also used by Socrates to compel listeners to think critically and go beyond the obvious.

In the Socratic method, questions are repeatedly asked until either the student provides an incorrect response or line of reasoning, or the teacher is satisfied with the students' responses.

All students gain more self-assurance speaking in front of large groups thanks to the Socratic Method, which also teaches them to think critically and helps them learn how to argue forcefully and persuasively.

Due to its effectiveness as a teaching tool and ability to aid in the development of numerous skills, the Socratic method is still in use today. The first and most obvious benefit is that it fosters students' ability to think quickly.
