...he cut off his ear. He suffered from psychotic episodes and delusions. He mostly concentrated on his mental health, neglecting his physical health. With that I mean he didn't eat properly or stayed very hydrated. He cut off his ear with a razor, in a rage, when he and Gauguin were having a confrontation (with a razor).
