Answer: B) It illustrates the point that over time, people are less and less affected by death.

Explanation: Imagery is a literary device that consists in the use of detailed descriptions and narratives to evoke the reader's senses (sight, smell, touch, taste or hearing) or to create a picture in the reader's mind. In the given excerpt the speaker uses imagery to help illustrate  the point that over time, people are less and less affected by death, we can see that because it says that as the people grow older, they become colder and care less.

Similarities in "if" and "cant"
OleMash [197]

When using if and can't they both have the similar "self doubt" aspect in them. Like "If I can do it..." and "I can"t do it." Both of these statements are basically questioning their self worth.

Why does Cassius not want Mark Antony to have the opportunity to speak at Caesar’s funeral? Why does Brutus allow it anyway?
svlad2 [7]
Cassius doesn't want Mark Antony to say anything because he doesn't trust him and he thinks Mark Antony will make matter worse and  make them look bad but Brutus allows him to because he believes it will show people that they are not evil and that they did everything in the good interest of Rome.
