X - students
y - faculty members

The student to faculty ratio is 17:3.
x:y=17:3
\frac{x}{y}=\frac{17}{3} \\
x=\frac{17}{3}y

The number of students and faculty is 740.
x+y=740 \\
x=\frac{17}{3}y \\
\Downarrow \\
\frac{17}{3}y+y=740 \ \ \ |\times 3 \\
17y+3y=2220 \\
20y=2220 \\
y=111 \\ \\
x=\frac{17}{3}y=\frac{17}{3} \times 111=\frac{1887}{3}=629

There are 629 students and 111 faculty members at the college.

So students:faculty=17:3
total =740
we can assume that the units are the same so 17+3=20 so
740=20 units
74=2 units
37=1 unit

faculty=3 units
37 times 3=111
there are 111 faculty members

Serena paid $194.99 for a game system and then bought two equally-priced games. If she spent a total of $284.97, what is the pri
Nataly_w [17]
$284.99 - 4194.99 = $89.98
$89.98 ÷ 2 = $ 44.99

1,8,5,4,1,8,5,4<br>Mean:<br>Median:<br>Mode:
Lynna [10]

Answer:

1. Mean = 55.8

Median = 23

Mode = None

2. Mean = 2.1

Median = 1.4

Mode 0.5

3. Mean = 4.5

Median = 4.5

Mode = 1,4, 5, 8

4. Mean 68

Median 58

Mode = 0

Step-by-step explanation:

Mean = 17 + 25 + 23 + 200 + 14 / 5 = 279/5 = 55.8

Median= Because its odd you put them in order 17, 14, 23, 25, 200 = 23 because it is the middle number. Mode = None

2. Mean = 0.5 + 1.4 + 3.0 + 7.0 + 0.5 +1.8 + 0.5 = 14.7 = 14.7/7 = 2.1

Median = because it is odd you put them in order 0.5, 0.5, 0.5, 1.4, 1.8, 3.0, 7.0 = 1.4 The mode is 0.5 because it repeats three times

3. Mean = 1 + 8 + 5 + 4 + 1 + 8 + 5 + 4 = 36/8 =4.5

Median = Because its even you divide by the two middle numbers = 1, 1, 4,4, 5, 5 , 8 , 8 = 4+5 = 9/2 = 4.5 Mode = 1, 4, 5, and 8 are the numbers that are repeated most often.

Mean = 0+78+99+58+65+0+47+38+227 = 68 Median, Because there is an odd number you get the odd number from the middle. 0, 0, 38, 47, 58, 65, 78, 99, 227 = 58 Mode = 0 because it repeats more often.
