They are similar. I don't remember what it is called but it is 100% ALWAYS true that the angles of a triangle must add up to 180 degrees. Always. If you have two angles, that are 60 degrees, the other must always be 60. again, always. So, They are similar by their angles.

LOTS OF POINTS!!!!!!!!<br><br>Please help asap!!!!! I need to solve for x
lozanna [386]

Answer:

x = 1 11/15

Step-by-step explanation:

Using ratios of similar triangles

3            5.2

-------- = ----------

4            (5.2 + x)

Using cross products

3 * (5.2 + x) = 5.2 * 4

Distribute

15.6 + 3x = 20.8

Subtract 15.6 from each side

15.6-15.6 + 3x = 20.8 -15.6

3x =5.2

Divide each side by 3

3x/3 = 5.2/3

x = 5.2/3

x=52/30

x = 26/15

x = 1 11/15

At a local swimming pool, the diving board is elevated h = 9.5 m above the pool's surface and overhangs the pool edge by L = 2 m
beks73 [17]
<h2>Answer:</h2>

s_{y}=u_{y}t+\frac{1}{2}a_{y}t^{2}\\9.5=4.9t^{2}

and,

v_{x}=1.39a_{x}+2.5

<h2>Step-by-step explanation:</h2>

In the question,

Taking the elevation of pool along the y-axis, and length of the board along the x-axis.

On drawing the illustration in the co-ordinate system we get,

lₓ = 2 m

uₓ = 2.5 m/s

and,

h_{y}=9.5\,m

So,

From the equations of the laws of motion we can state that,

s_{y}=u_{y}t+\frac{1}{2}a_{y}t^{2}

So,

On putting the values we can say that,

s_{y}=u_{y}t+\frac{1}{2}a_{y}t^{2}\\9.5=(0)t+\frac{1}{2}(9.8)t^{2}\\t^{2}=\frac{9.5}{4.9}\\t^{2}=1.93\\t=1.39\,s

Now,

The <u>equation of the motion in the horizontal</u> can be given by,

v_{x}=u_{x}+a_{x}t\\v_{x}=2.5+a_{x}(1.39)\\So,\\v_{x}=1.39a_{x}+2.5

<em><u>Therefore, the equations of the motions in the horizontal and verticals are,</u></em>

s_{y}=u_{y}t+\frac{1}{2}a_{y}t^{2}\\9.5=4.9t^{2}

and,

v_{x}=1.39a_{x}+2.5

PLEASE HELP! The table shows the number of championships won by the baseball and softball leagues of three youth baseball divisi
Irina18 [472]

Answer:

Question 1: P ( B | Y ) = \frac{ P ( B and Y)}{ P (Y)} = \frac{ \frac{2}{16}}{ \frac{4}{16}} = \frac{1}{2}

Question 2:

A. P ( Y | B ) = \frac{ P(Y and B) }{ P(B) } = \frac{ \frac{2}{16} }{ \frac{6}{16} } = \frac{1}{3}

B. P( Z | B ) = \frac{ P ( Z and B)}{ P (B)}= \frac{ \frac{1}{16} }{ \frac{6}{16} } = \frac{1}{6}

C. P((Y or Z)|B) = \frac{ P ((Y or Z) and B)}{P(B)}= \frac{ \frac{3}{16}}{ \frac{6}{16}}= \frac{1}{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

Conditional probability is defined by

P(A|B)= \frac{P(A and B)}{P(B)}

with P(A and B) beeing the probability of both events occurring simultaneously.

Question 1:

B: Baseball League Championships won, beeing

P ( B ) = \frac{ 6 }{16}

Y: Championships won by the 10 - 12 years old, beeing

P ( Y)= \frac{ 4 }{ 16 }

then

P( B and Y)= \frac{ 2 }{ 16 }[/tex]

By definition,

P ( B | Y ) = \frac{ P ( B and Y)}{ P (Y)} = \frac{ \frac{2}{16} }{ \frac{4}{16} }  = \frac{1}{2}

Question 2.A:

Y: Championships won by the 10 - 12 years old, beeing

P ( Y)= \frac{ 4 }{ 16 }

B: Baseball League Championships won, beeing

P ( B ) = \frac{ 6 }{16}

then

P( B and Y)= \frac{ 2 }{ 16 }[/tex]

By definition,

P ( Y | B ) = \frac{ P(Y and B) }{ P(B) } = \frac{ \frac{2}{16} }{ \frac{6}{16} } = \frac{1}{3}

Question 2.B:

Z: Championships won by the 13 - 15 years old, beeing

P ( Z)= \frac{ 1 }{ 16 }

B: Baseball League Championships won, beeing

P ( B ) = \frac{ 6 }{16}

then

P( Z and B)= \frac{ 1 }{ 16 }[/tex]

By definition,

P( Z | B ) = \frac{ P ( Z and B)}{ P (B)}= \frac{ \frac{1}{16} }{ \frac{6}{16} } = \frac{1}{6}

Question 3.B

Y: Championships won by the 10 - 12 years old, beeing

P ( Y)= \frac{ 4 }{ 16 }

Z: Championships won by the 13 - 15 years old, beeing

P ( Z)= \frac{ 1 }{ 16 }

then

P (Y or Z) = P(Y) + P(Z) = \frac{6}{16}

B: Baseball League Championships won, beeing

P ( B ) = \frac{ 6 }{16}

so

P((YorZ) and B)= \frac{3}{16}

By definition,

P((Y or Z)|B) = \frac{ P ((Y or Z) and B)}{P(B)}= \frac{ \frac{3}{16}}{ \frac{6}{16}}= \frac{1}{2}

Can you please help me
Sergio039 [100]

Take into account the length of the right side of the figure is 10. Moreover, x is the hypotenuse of a right triangle. To find the value of x, use the sine function:

cos 45 = opposite side/hypotenuse

cos 45 = 10/x solve for x

x = 10/cos 45

x = 10/0.707

x = 14.14

with the previous value of x, you can find y. Again, consider the right triangle right side. x is the hypotenuse. Use the Pythagorean theorem to find y:

x² = 10² + y² solve for y and replace x

y² = x² - 10²

y² = (14.14)² - 100

y² = 200 - 100

y² = 100 apply square root both sides

y = 10

Hence, the values of x and y are 14.14 and 10 respectively
