Question: The Marshall Plan was proof that the U.S. did NOT learn the lesson from the mistreatment of Germany in the Treaty of Versailles.
Answer: The correct answer is: False.
Explanation: The Treaty of Versailles failed but The Marshall Plan was a huge success. Some people called it ''A miracle''.
The Treaty of Versailles was s peace plan signed after World War I, in the year of 1919. It was held in Paris and the treaty was signed between Germany and the Allies. The treaty did many things, including: obligating Germany to pay reparations, formally announcing total war responsibility on Germany and its allies, reducing the German army and giving part of its territory to the new nations of Eastern Europe. Germany accepted the treaty and it became effective in 1920. However, this treaty failed due to the weak German economy. This made it impossible for Germany to pay reparations, so they paid a small percentage. Finally, when the German economy was at its lowest, they stopped paying the reparations and the plan failed.
When World War II ended, Europe was devastated and millions of people were killed. This started The Marshall Plan, a European recovery program. It was the United States plan for rebuilding and creating a stronger foundation for Western Europe, (Great Britain, France, West Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Belgium.) The plan began in 1947 and was in operation for four years. During that time, 17 billions of dollars were given to help the recovery of the European countries. Four years later, Western European industries were producing twice as much as they had been producing the year before the World War.
Daniel Shays may have sold off half his land to pay off his debts or his family's debts.
Massachusetts was Daniel Shays home. In this area, a lot of farmers were in debt and others find it difficult to pay off their debts. Those who were unable to pay their debts were sent into prison, making life more difficult for the farmers and their families.
Daniel Shays was a leader of a revolt against Massachusetts government. They protested the against the high taxes imposed on their lands as well as the forceful seizure of farmlands by the local sheriffs. The rebellion was identified as Shays' Rebellion.

Answer:
So basically, the union didn't due anything to avoid more conflict and to attempt to have no other states leave. What happened is that the union forgot about a little place called Fort Sumter, and the people their were almost out of food! Lincoln then sent a message to the president of the Confederacy that he was only sending them food supplies, but that guy wasn't to happy with that and called war of Lincolns butt, because apparently we were invading the south.
To sum it up. They didn't act upon, because if they did it means that the union is acknowledging that fact that they succeeded the union. Then the soldiers over at Fort Sumter were going to starve, because they were low on supplies. He attempted to negotiate, by only sending food, but the pres. of the south, called for war. THUS THE START OF THE CIVIL WAR!
