Hello!

A scatter plot only has a positive or negative trend if it is somewhat linear. This graph is not. A random trend isn't really a proper mathematical term; you are suppose to use no trend.

Therefore, our answer is B) no trend.

I hope this helps!

If you can't see a trend, it is because there is no trend.

_____

If there is a positive trend, dots on the right side will generally be higher than those on the left side. For a negative trend, the opposite is true: dots on the right side will generally be lower than those on the left. "Random trend" is not a recognized description of a trend.

Solve the inqualities 3x-3<9
pentagon [3]

Answer: x < 4

Step-by-step explanation: When solving the inequality 3x - 3 < 9, just like an equation our first step is to isolate the x term which is 3x by adding 3 to both sides of the inequality.

On the left, -3 + 3 cancels and we have 3x.

Make sure to bring down the < sign.

On the right, 9 + 3 simplifies to 12.

So we have 3x < 12.

Now, divide both sides of the inequality by 3 to isolate x.

When we do that we get x < 4

So our answer is x < 4.

Each hotdog cost $1.50 and sodas cost $.50. At the end of the day you made a total of $78.50.You sold a total of 87 hot dogs and
Bond [772]

Answer:

The number of hot dogs sold was 35 and the number of sodas sold was 52

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

x ----> the number of hot dogs sold

y ----> the number of sodas sold

we know that

x+y=87

x=87-y ----> equation A

1.50x+0.50y=78.50 ----> equation B

Solve the system by substitution

substitute equation A in equation B

1.50(87-y)+0.50y=78.50

solve for y

130.50-1.50y+0.50y=78.50

1.50y-0.50y=130.50-78.50

y=52\ sodas

Find the value of x

x=87-52=35\ hot dogs

therefore

The number of hot dogs sold was 35 and the number of sodas sold was 52
