If a point has the same x-coordinate as the origin, that means the point could be anywhere on the y-axis. This means it could be below the x-axis or above, but never on the x-axis. This means if you drew it on a coordinate plane, the point would always be traveling vertically on the y-axis.

The origin's coordinates are (0, 0), so if a point has the coordinates (0, __), thus having the same x-coordinate as the origin, it will be somewhere along the y-axis.

Im REALLY sorry if I get this wrong I'm not that great at math and I like to try and help anyway. If I were to chose I would do 2 or 5. I hope I could at least narrow down the options, please dont hate me if Im wrong!

Write the equation of the graph shown below in factored form.
user100 [1]

Answer:

Its the second option:

f(x) = (x + 3)(x - 1)(x - 4).

Step-by-step explanation:

As it passes through x = -3 that is one root so one factor is (x + 3).

As it also passes through x = 1 another factor is (x - 1).

Also as it passes through x = 4 the third factor is (x - 4).

2x+4y+2z= -8
5y-2z= 0
4z= -20
kondaur [170]

Answer:

The given solution for the system is x = 5, y = -2 and z = -5

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, the given set of equations are:

2 x + 4 y +2 z = -8

5 y- 2 z = 0

4 z = -20

Now, simplifying each question one by one ,we get:

Simplifying third equation for the value of z:

4 z = -20 ⇒ z = -20 / 4 = - 5

or, z = -5

Simplifying second equation for the value of y:

Substitute the value of z = -5 in (2) , we get

5 y- 2 z = 0 ⇒ 5 y - 2(-5) = 0

or, 5 y + 10 = 0

or, 5 y = -10

or, y = -10/5 = -2

⇒ y = -2

Simplifying first equation for the value of x:

Substitute the value of z = -5 and y = -2 in (1) , we get

2 x + 4 y + 2 z = -8 ⇒ 2 x + 4 (-2) + 2 (-5) = -8

or, 2 x - 8 - 10 = -8

or, 2 x = 10

x = 10 / 2  = 5, or x  = 5

Hence, the given solution for the system is x = 5, y = -2 and z = -5
