We are given to find

the experimental probability that a 10th-grade student chosen at random has at least one, but no more than two, siblings

we know that

probability = ( number of favourable outcomes)/ ( total possible outcomes)

a 10th-grade student chosen at random has at least one, but no more than two, siblings

so, there can be one or two siblings

so, total number of such students =18+10=28

Number of favourable outcomes =28

total number of students =4+18+10+8=40

so, total favourable outcomes =40

now, we can find probability

p=\frac{28}{40}

p=\frac{28}{40}\times 100

p=70

So,

the experimental probability is 70%...........Answer

AB is the angle bisector of CAD. Solve for the missing variable?
Alika [10]

Answer:

x=8^\circ

Step-by-step explanation:

A bisector is the line that divides an angle (which in this case is \angle CAD) exactly in half. Therefore, \angle CAB = \angle BAD and as such we can solve for x:

\angle CAB &= \angle BAD\\33^\circ &= 4x + 1^\circ\\4x = 32^\circ\\x = 8^\circ

and we are done.

The driver of the bus filled the gas tank with gas by putting in 21 gallon. If the gas gauge was at five-eighths before she fill
vazorg [7]

Answer:

56 gallons

Step-by-step explanation:

When her gas tank is full, she has x gallons in the tank.

when she went to the gas station, she had (5/8) of x gallons of gas in her tank. she added 21 gallons into her tank, then she had x gallons in her tank.

(5/8)x + 21 = x

subtract x and 21 from both sides

(5/8)x - x = -21

factor out an x from the left side

x(5/8 - 1) = -21

simplify the parenthesis

x(-3/8) = -21

multiply both sides by -8/3

x= 56 gallons
