Significant Figures in Calculations:

In Order to Correct the Number of Significant Figures in a Calculation:

1.).  First, you would,  Add all the digits:

(Example: 1405.2   +    9.77    +     4.32     =      1419.29)

2.).  Then, You would Round the final value to the Least Number of Significant Figures.

(In Example, it would look like this:   1420).

Therefore, The least number of significant figures  in the Example, is 3.

(However, In the Example, the number 1420,)     The "0" isn't a significant figure.

Hope that helps!!!!                                  : )

You didn't write the significant numbers in, So, I just gave you an Example, of how would actually solve Significant Figures Calculation!

A function models the growth of a sample starting with 40 bacteria with the ability to double every two hours. Which graph
natima [27]

Answer:

The function is y = 40 * 2^(x/2)

The graph is in the image attached

Step-by-step explanation:

The function that models this growth is an exponencial function, that can be described with the following equation:

y = a * b^(x/n)

Where a is the inicial value, b is the rate of growth, x is the time and n is the relation between the time and the rate (the rate occurs for every two hours, so n = 2).

Then, using a = 40, r = 2 and n = 2, we have:

y = 40 * 2^(x/2)

If we plot this function, we have the graph shown in the image attached,

It is an exponencial graph, where the value of y increases very fast in relation to the increase of x.

I am drivin 45 miles per hour how far can I drive in 2 hours and 20 minutes
Orlov [11]
45/60= .75 miles each minute
45x2= 90 miles in 2 hours
.75×20=15 miles in 20 min

90+15=105 miles in 2 hours n 20 min

Answer:

9m^2 + 17m- 9

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

7m^2 + (2m - 1)(m + 9)

Required:

Simplify

We start by opening the bracket

7m^2 + (2m(m + 9) - 1(m + 9))

7m^2 + 2m^2 + 18m - m - 9

Collect Like Terms

9m^2 + 17m- 9

Hence, the equivalent expression is 9m^2 + 17m- 9
