Jenni 39
Night 9-
               Wren 44
               Jenni 44
It would be 9 nights.

Andrews [41]
Clean up the equation with x first and x=12.
Substitute this value in to the other equation to solve for y.
You should get a solution of (12,-8)

Line j has a slope of − 2. Line d is perpendicular to line j and passes through the point( − 8 , 3 ). Write the equation for
Zina [86]

Answer:

The equation is: y = 1/2x + 7

Step-by-step explanation:

The slope of j is -2. The slope of a line perpendicular to line j has a negative inverse: 1/2. The point is (-8, 3).

Use the point slope form of the equation:

y - y1 = m(x - x1)

Substitute:

y - 3 = 1/2(x - (-8))

y - 3 = 1/2x + 4

y = 1/2x + 4 + 3

y = 1/2x + 7

Proof:

Solve for f(x) when x = -8.

f(x) = 1/2x + 7

f(-8) = 1/2(-8) + 7

= -8/2 + 7

= -4 + 7

= 3, giving the point (-8, 3)

1/2b+9/4=7/4 What is b and how do I solve?
rosijanka [135]
The gial is to isolate the variable taht is the first thing to remember, second whatever you do to one side you must do to the other. yiu can approach this.in two ways as I see it with 1b or alk fractions. I prefer fractions so first you want yo get rid of the 9/4 on the variabke side so 9/4-9/4 is zero and 7/4-9/4=(-2/4) then you have 1/2b=(-2/4) or (-1/2) so you multipke both sides by two and get b=(-1) hope that helped

Carmen's water bottle holds 1 8/10 liters of water. Jorge's water bottle holds 2 2/5 liters of water. Jorge says his bottle hold
natka813 [3]

Step-by-step explanation:

Carmen's water bottle = 1.8 litres ≈ 2 litres

Jorge's water bottle = 2\frac{2}{5} = 2.4 litres ≈ 2 litres

Therefore, from estimate, Jorge's water bottle does not hold half litre more of water than Carmen's.

Actual difference = 2.4 - 1.8 = 0.6 litres
