In Act 1 Scene 2 of Midsummer Night's Dream, Nick Bottom and the other laborers are trying to rehearse a play which they will perform before during the celebrations before Theseus and Hippolyta's wedding.
In Shakespeare's " A Midsummer Night's Dream," Bottom and his craftsmen friends are rehearsing a play that they are going to perform at Theseus and Hippolyta's wedding. Thus, they meet in the woods and begin rehearsing when Puck casts a spell on Bottom and gives him a donkey's head. Bottom does not realize of his appearance, though, and Titania falls in love with him, also under a magic spell.
