Since 15 is half of 30 it is very simple subtraction. so 15 is 1/2 of 30 you automatically have 15 (the other half) and then add the 2 so 17 is the answer :)

Answer:

To solve 32-15 we just have to subtract as follows

32-15=17

Now, this can be modelled as a problem like the following:

Mark weighs 32 pounds and he wants to lose more weight. Doing exercises he lose 15 pounds, how many pounds does Mark weigh after the lose?

As you can see, this problem is solve with a subtraction like the one we did above

32lb-15lb=17lb

Therefore Mark now weighs 17 pounds.

The diagram shows a trapezium PQRS. Find the length of side PQ, in cm
mixas84 [53]

Answer:

30 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Draw a line from R perpendicular to PQ to meet PQ at T.

RQT forms a right-angled triangle with RT = SP = 15.

So tan 36.87 = RT / TQ

tan 36.87 = 15 / TQ

TQ = 15 / tan 36.87

= 20 cm.

Now PT = SR = 10, so

PQ = 10 + 20

= 30 cm.
