I’m struggling with this question need some help
Sonbull [250]
Since the volume of a rectangular prism is V=lwh, we can isolate for h to obtain that h=V/(lw).

So, for the first prism, the height is 117/(4*6.5) = 4.5

Similarly, for the second prism, the height is 175.5/(6.5 * 4) = 6.75

So, the difference in heights is 6.75-4.5=2.25 = 2 1/4 inches

What is the radius of the circle given by the equation below?
grandymaker [24]
x^2+18x+y^2+18y=-146 \\ \\( x^2+18x + 81)+(y^2+18y+81)-81-81=-146\\ \\(x+9)^2+(y+9)^2=-146+81+81\\ \\(x+9)^2+(y+9)^2=-146+162\\ \\(x+9)^2+(y+9)^2=16

This \ is \ in \ the \ general \ circle \ form : (x-h)^ 2+ (y-k)^2 = r^2, so: \\ \\ r^2=16 \\ \\r=\sqrt{16}\\ \\r=4 \\ \\ Answer : \ C. 4

Enrollment in a school has grown exponentially since the school opened. Below is a graph depicting this growth. Determine the av
tresset_1 [31]

Answer:

2.5

Step-by-step explanation:

The average rate of the function f(x) from x=a to x=b is given by:

\frac{f(b)-f(a)}{b-a}

From the question, the exponential function goes through (0,30) and (20,80).

This implies that f(0)=30 and f(20)=80

Therefore the average rate of change from x = 0 to x = 20 is

=\frac{f(20)-f(0)}{20-0}

=\frac{80-30}{20}

=\frac{50}{20}=2.5

The second choice is correct

Given the coordinate T(8, -4), find the location of T after a dilation using a scale factor of 0.4.
vagabundo [1.1K]

The new coordinate will be T'(3.2 , -1.6) .

<h3>What is the meaning of Dilation ?</h3>

Dilation is the transformation that changes the size of the object without changing its shape .

If a coordinate point is (x,y) and a dilation of scale factor f is applied then the new coordinates will be (fx ,fy)

The coordinate given in the question is T(8, -4)

The scale factor is 0.4

The new coordinate is

T'( 0.4 * 8 , 0.4 * (-4))

T'(3.2 , -1.6)

Therefore the new coordinate will be T'(3.2 , -1.6)
