The baby has an intact reflex, and this must be documented by the nurse. Intact reflex is not a situation that indicates a health problem for the child, it is just a response to the noisy environment in the child's sleeping room. Intact reflexes are reflexes originating from the central nervous system that are present in young children, especially babies, but not in adults with intact nervous systems. These reflexes disappear or are inhibited by the frontal lobes as the child develops, by maturing the brain through myelization, arborization, and the formation of nerve cell synapses, with increased voluntary control of each activity with these related reflexes.
A registered dietician (RD) is one who have acquired a bachelor's degree in nutrition or dietetics from an accredited higher institution of learning. The person further registers with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics for a national examination after a dietetics internship. If the individual passes the exam he/she is given the title of a registered dietician (RD).
