8:15 a.m to 12:45 p.m......4 hrs 30 min
took 45 min lunch (not paid)....now its 1:30 p.m.....
1:30 p.m. to 6:45 pm = 5 hrs 15 min

5 hrs 15 min + 4 hrs 30 min = 9 hrs 45 min or 9 3/4 hrs

$ 16 for first 8 hrs......overtime pay is $ 24 per hr....leaving 1 hr and 45 min or 1 3/4 hrs overtime
16 + 24(7/4) = 16 + 42 = $ 58 <===

Compute the following linear combination.

(79.4, 58.1) + 3(-0.8, 6.3)
yan [13]

Answer:

(77, 77)

Step-by-step explanation:

Carry out the indicated multiplication:

3(-0.8, 6.3) → (-2.4, 18.9)

Next, combine like terms:

(79.4, 58.1) + (-2.4, 18.9). In other words, combine the x terms 79.4 and -2.4 separately and then the y terms 58.1 and 18.9 separately:

(79.4, 58.1) + (-2.4, 18.9) → (77, 77)

Give the equations of two different lines that are perpendicular to the line 3x+4y=7.
Elenna [48]
In order to Sherman a line that is either parallel or perpendicular to another line, you first have to put the equation into slope intercept form. This means you have to solve for y.

3x+4y = 7
4y = -3x + 7
y = (-3/4)x + (7/4)
The slope of the line is -3/4. Online which is perpendicular would have a slope of 4/3, The negative reciprocal.

Now that you know the slope, you can write many different equations that would be perpendicular to the original.

y = (3/4)x + any y-intercept....Pick a number, any number... 7. ... y=(3/4)x+7
... -2 ...y = (3/4)x - 2. Literally you can pick any number.
