Slope-intercept form: y = mx + b (m is the slope, b is the y-intercept or the y value when x = 0 -->  (0, y))

To find the slope(m), you can use the slope formula and plug in 2 points:

$m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}$

(x₁ , y₁) = (0, 2)

(x₂ , y₂) = (4, 5)

$m = \frac{5-2}{4-0}$

$m = \frac{3}{4}$

[slope is also $m=\frac{rise}{run}$  "rise" is the number of units you go up(+ number) or down(negative number). "run" is the number of units you go to the right. If your slope for example is 2, you go up 2 units and to the right 1 unit. If your slope is -2, you go down 2 units and to the right 1 unit.]

^ you could just look at the graph and see how many units a point goes up or down and to the right to get to the next point (goes up 3, to the right 4)

$y=\frac{3}{4} x+b$  To find b, plug in either of the 2 points into the equaation

(0,2)

$2=\frac{3}{4}(0)+b$

2 = b

$y = \frac{3}{4}x + 2$
