For starters, the Declaration of Independence was the first step to establishing Americas own Constitution- as it had basically just established itself. The Declaration of Independence says we have certain unalienable rights such as Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. It also states that “All Men are created equal”, and lists a few grievances towards Great Britain as to why America is breaking apart.
The Constitution however, comes after that step. It established the basic laws/ principles of America. The Bill of Rights is included and mainly consists of individual rights- also known as the first 10 amendments. The constitution therefore gives outline to America and is known as the law of the land.
