Answer:

d. One defect of the IRR method is that it assumes that the cash flows to be received from a project can be reinvested at the IRR itself, and that assumption is often not valid.

Explanation:

While calculating a project's IRR, that is internal rate of return we calculate the return at which the outflow = inflow. Further it is assumed that the funds will be reinvested at the same rate.

As with change in weights because of amount invested, change in capital structure, the effective rate also changes, and the expected rate of return being IRR is generally not the same.

Accordingly, this is a correct statement that most of the times it is not true that reinvestment will earn the same rate of return as of IRR.

Mila [183]

If accounts receivable had a debit balance of $10,000 at the beginning of the period, and a debit balance of $6,000 at the end of the period. based on this information, the adjustment to net income for the period will be reported as: a decrease of $4,000 which will be added to net income.

How to find the adjustment to net income?

Using this formula to determine the adjustment to net income

Adjustment to net income = accounts receivable had a debit balance - Beginning debit balance

Where:

Accounts receivable had a debit balance = $10,000

Beginning debt balance = $6,000

Let plug in the formula

Adjustment to net income = $10,000 - $6,000

Adjustment to net income = $4,000

Therefore we can conclude that the adjustment to net income for the period will be reported as a decrease of $4,000 which will be added to net income.

Answer:

Ending inventory= $5,040

Explanation:

Giving the following information:

Beginning Inventory= 1000 units for $7.20

Mar. 10: Purchase= 600 units for $7.25

Mar. 16: Purchase= 800 units for $7.30

Mar. 23: Purchase= 600 units for $7.35

Marvin sold 2,300 units.

Under the LIFO inventory method, the ending inventory cost is calculated using the first units incorporated to inventory.

Ending inventory in units= total units - units sold

Ending inventory in units= 3,000 - 2,300= 700 units

Ending inventory= 700*7.2= $5,040
